Founded by Mark Futyan, professional board director and former energy sector CEO, Clean Power Consulting provides specialist advice and board services to organisations participating in the energy transition.
Mark has 25 years experience in the energy sector during which he has been involved in a range of energy transition technologies including solar, energy storage, wind, nuclear, carbon capture, gas fired power generation and interconnectors.
Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Chartered Engineer. He studied Chemical Engineering at Cambridge University and received an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Mark is a Senior Advisor at Equitix, GIRA Strategic Finance and AlphaReal, where he also chairs the Diversified Renewables Investment Fund. He has also served as a non-executive director on the boards of Anesco , Origami Energy and the EDF operated nuclear fleet.
Mark was CEO at Anesco until January 2023. Anesco played a leading role in the development of the solar market in the UK and subsequently pioneered battery energy storage technology. Under Mark’s leadership, Anesco doubled in scale, established a new route to market business line and expanded internationally.
Prior to Anesco, Mark held a number of executive roles at Centrica, which included running the international power generation and storage portfolio, directly supporting the Group CEO and improving customer experience by optimising the 7,000 strong UK residential services team.
